Renovation Introduction
Montreal is a unique city. Montreal economy is not growing at the rate
of other cities. Very recently we had a change of Government. But the
previous Government was Separatist. They wanted to introduce a secular
charter of values. This was going to remove all religious symbols in
public. Their mismanagement of the economy has led Montreal to be many
years behind other cities. The Muslim community is growing due to the
influx of immigrants over the last 20 years, estimated at 300,000. We do
not have the infrastructure to meet the needs of the growing community.
We here in Khadijah Mosque are requesting donations for the Sake of
Allah. Donating to the mosque is a perpetual charity. And you will have
the satisfaction of knowing that your money is going to help Muslims
practice their Islam and non-Muslims to learn about the truth of Islam.
IQRA Foundation is a religious, non-profitable, social cultural and
charitable organization (Tax # BN 86161280RR-0001). Khadijah Mosque was
established in 2002. Recently the Mosque has had to change locations to
better serve the growing needs of the community. The area is 9000
square feet. Extensive renovations are needed for ablution/bathroom
areas, facilities for the women, sound system, carpets, central heating
and air conditioning, and other infrastructure. The cost will be no less
than $150,000(One hundred Fifty Thousand).
